Hopefully, this will allow you to give them the best chance to grow and overcome the challenges they\u2019ve been facing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>How Common are Mental Health Challenges Among Teenagers?<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before we go further, you might be wondering: how common is it to need help for a teenager with anxiety, depression, or poor mental health? Even more worryingly, the World Health Organization suggests <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news-room\/fact-sheets\/detail\/adolescent-mental-health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">almost 5% of all teenagers<\/a> will experience anxiety by the time they are nineteen.<\/p>\n<p>Other incredibly common mental health challenges faced by our teenagers include ADHD, depression, and behavioural problems. These conditions are also often accompanied by low self-esteem and poor self-worth.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also important to note that different mental health conditions in children often occur together. For example, around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/childrensmentalhealth\/data.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">three-quarters of teenagers with anxiety<\/a> will also need help for depression.
