However, anxiety disorders are more than experiencing these emotions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Anxiety disorders include generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, and phobia-related disorders. We\u2019ve compiled a list of common factors that can trigger anxiety disorders and related symptoms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Past or Childhood Experiences<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/violenceprevention\/aces\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adverse childhood experiences<\/a>, or ACEs, can have a very strong, negative impact on our<br \/>\nmental health well into adulthood. Some common ACEs include experiencing violence,<br \/>\nneglect, abuse, witnessing violence within your home or community, or losing a family<br \/>\nmember to suicide. If you had a traumatic childhood, you very well may experience<br \/>\nanxiety associated with these negative experiences.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7332\" src=\"https:\/\/www.junabrookes.co.uk\/staging\/5147\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/andre-taissin-5OUMf1Mr5pU-unsplash-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"financial issues\" width=\"345\" height=\"230\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Financial Issues<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Money is very closely tied to mental health. On one hand, symptoms of anxiety can make<br \/>\nit difficult to hold a job and earn money. On the other hand, a lack of money and<br \/>\nresources can also cause anxiety and other mental health related issues. There are<br \/>\nresources available, reach out for support if you are struggling from anxiety due to<br \/>\nfinancial issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Grief &amp; Loss<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Grief is a complicated emotion that easily coincides with symptoms of anxiety tied to the experience of loss. It could be the death of a family member, friend, romantic partner, or pet. We can also experience grief at the end of a relationship, the loss of a job, or moving to a new location. Many individuals felt lonely and<br \/>\nlacked connection with friends and loved ones. Isolation is known to cause symptoms of<br \/>\nanxiety. Global events like<\/p>\n<p>humanitarian crises, global warming, climate change, and the ongoing pandemic are sure to cause the healthiest person anxiety. A good way to manage anxiety is to be thoughtful about our media exposure and learn how to balance mental health while remaining informed on important news and events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Drugs and Alcohol Use<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Anxiety can be exacerbated by some psychiatric medications, other medications for physical health, and recreational drugs and alcohol. These anxiety symptoms can be made<br \/>\nworse by <a href=\"https:\/\/adaa.org\/understanding-anxiety\/co-occurring-disorders\/substance-abuse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">substance abuse and addiction<\/a>. Some individuals may turn to substances in<br \/>\nattempt to manage pre-existing anxiety.
