Overcoming an anxiety disorder takes time and commitment. Therapy involves facing your fears rather than avoiding them. The important thing is to stick with it and commit to the treatment. If you start feeling discouraged with the pace of recovery, remember that therapy for anxiety is very effective in the long run. _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]CBT is a type of talking therapy that will address your problems by changing the way you think-feel-react. \u00a0This therapy is most commonly used for treating\u00a0<strong>anxiety<\/strong>\u00a0and depression but can be useful for other mental health issues. \u00a0It is highly recognised and used by NHS. \u00a0It helps you to look at things in a new way and therefore this affects the way you feel and behave.<\/p>\n<p>Talking therapies such as counselling\/psychotherapy\/CBT\/solution-focused therapy can be very effective and helpful but at times these are not enough to provide deep enough healing for my clients. \u00a0They also take much longer for the client to feel good results from the therapy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column_inner][et_pb_column_inner type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]Sometimes Anxiety feelings could be related to an unresolved trauma that happened to you recently or even in your childhood. \u00a0The amygdala, a primitive part of the brain, doesn\u2019t have a time tag and can sometimes give you flashbacks from the past. \u00a0That means your trauma is unresolved and every time you have a flashback it will flare up the anxiety and feeling of worrying. \u00a0You will then imagine the worst possible scenario and feel like you are in danger or that something bad is going to happen.
